We have By-Laws and Standing Rules! They were voted on before the Windemere Players concert at our general PTA meeting last Wednesday. Also, the following individuals were elected to their respective positions as executive for the 2010-11 school year:

- Glenna Smith, 2nd vice president, Membership
- Erin Shea, Secretary
- Peggy Dieterich, Treasurer
- Martha Stockton, Asst. Treasurer

Most committees positions have at least one person, yet we still need to fill in the gaps for Carnival and Volunteer Coordinator. Kudos to our great nominating committee: Jene Ebest, Kristin Knifton, and Stacey Roeder for helping fill those positions. There is always room for others to step up to volunteer. Gullett wins RIF for 5th consecutive year!
Because of our efforts to raise money over $21,000 for RIF, Gullett won the BookSpring Read-a-thon yet again. The trophy will be retired this year, so it has a permanent home at our school. Our wonderful librarian, Kay Gooch, was awarded the first ever Legacy award for Recognized Good at the ceremony last week for her advocacy for early literacy for children in need. We know how special she is and so does the Austin Read-a-thon community! Check out the AISD website for photo gallery of the assembly.

New volunteers for committee chairs
