It’s already April and so much is going on around Gullett!  You have probably noticed the clearing on the 2nd grade ramp.  Work on the entrance is underway to make it an inviting spot for all.  The 4th grade teaching garden is about to get a permanent fence that matches the kinder fence.  These have been long-term projects that finally came together and we are excited to see them to completion.

Thank you to everyone who is stepping into new PTA board committee positions.  Kudos to our nominating committee of Jene Ebest, Kristin Knifton and Stacey Roeder.  Yes, there are still openings.  One crucial opening is the Parliamentarian that attends CAC meetings and reports to the board on behalf of CAC.   This is a great spot for someone new to the board.  Do not hesitate to contact me:  Jennifer Carson (jjjcarson4@gmail.com) or Jene Ebest (tjebest@yahoo.com) if you have questions about particular committees.

The PTA board is working on budgets and next year’s calendar of events.  If you have input on either, please email me at jjjcarson4@gmail.com or Lisa Alverson at lisa_alverson@hotmail.com.  The next general PTA meeting is Wednesday, April 21(not April 20) at 6:30 in the cafeteria before the Windemere Players performance at 7:00.  We will vote on by-laws/standing rules and the slate for next year’s executive officers.
